Join our President & CEO Amber Banks on September 29, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a intimate, high-touch convening of philanthropic, corporate, civic, and community leaders from across the Southeast.
Charlotte, the banking capital of the South, has added jobs, towers, and national acclaim at a pace few American cities can match. Yet, that growth has not translated equally across the region, with many historically underserved communities still struggling to access capital, investments, and opportunities.
Centered on the discussion, “Boom for Whom? Growth, Displacement, and the Fight for Black Wealth in the New South,” this invitation-only gathering brings together Black CDFI leaders and regional changemakers to confront a defining question of the Southeast’s growth: Who is the boom for, and how do we ensure Black communities and Black-led financial institutions are included in the region’s economic future?

What to Expect:
- Keynote Luncheon: Hear from a keynote speaker on the opportunities and challenges shaping Black-led community finance across the Southeast.
- Moderated Panel and Open Discussion: Black CDFI and civic leaders will examine who is benefiting from the Southeast’s economic boom, the pressures facing historically Black communities, and what it will take to shape a more inclusive future.
- Together We Thrive Dinner: An invite-only dinner where leaders, partners, and stakeholders will continue the day’s conversations continue through deeper relationship-building, partnership opportunities, and aligned action.
