The fight is now. The CDFI Fund is under attack.
If this stands, small businesses, homeowners, and entire communities will be cut off from the capital they need to survive and thrive. We cannot let that happen.
The March 14th executive order threatens to dismantle one of the most powerful tools for economic mobility in this country. The CDFI Fund has been a lifeline—helping small businesses weather recessions, making homeownership possible for families shut out of the market, and strengthening local economies by putting capital where it’s needed most.
When traditional finance turned its back, CDFIs stepped up—keeping storefronts open, cutting through red tape, and ensuring jobs stayed in communities where big banks walked away.
This isn’t about charity. This isn’t some abstract budget debate. This is real. This is about people. About businesses. About communities fighting to building something for themselves.
And now, they want to take that away? Not without a fight,
The African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs is mobilizing. We will not stand by while the future of community finance is gutted.
We need you. Call your elected officials. Share this message. Raise your voice.
The future of community finance is on the line. And we’re ready to fight for it.
