Nia Jones

Environment & Climate Director

Nia Jones, “The Energy Queen,” is a World-class energy engineer and serves as the Environment & Climate Director. Originally from Washington, D.C. she studied at Clark Atlanta University, Northeastern University, and University of California Berkeley. Her areas of expertise include renewable energy, public policy, and sustainable development. Prior to joining the Alliance, Nia served as the inaugural director of community engagement for the department of civil & environmental engineering at UC Berkeley. In her capacity she co-managed $1.5M philanthropic dollars to mobilize engagement across the private sector and K-12 audiences. Nia looks forward to building capacity and execute the mission and vision of Alliance and its members.
