Amber Banks

President & CEO

Amber Banks is the President & CEO of the African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs, where she provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization. She oversees the implementation of the Alliance’s strategic plan, establishes programmatic priorities, and aligns human and financial resources to advance the organization’s mission and long-term goals. Amber ensures strong operating systems are in place to manage and report critical data, optimize information technology, and support effective board governance.She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and has completed a host of formal training programs for commercial lending, organization management, community development, and leadership throughout her career, including earning a certificate in Community Development Finance from Opportunity Finance Network and in Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations from Harvard Kennedy School.
