Join our President & CEO Amber Banks on November 18, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for a intimate, high-touch convening of philanthropic, corporate, civic, and community leaders from across the Northeast.
Across the Northeast, CDFIs are confronting a rapidly shifting federal landscape. Uncertainty surrounding the CDFI Fund, disruptions to federal financing programs, and changing policy priorities are placing new pressure on the institutions that communities rely on most. As federal support becomes less predictable, the stakes for Black communities, small businesses, and community-based lenders continue to rise.
But amid these challenges, states are charting their own paths forward. At a time when federal funding is increasingly uncertain, displacement threatens historically Black neighborhoods, and longstanding economic disparities persist, the Northeast Huddle asks a critical question: How do we move beyond financing development to financing community power, ownership, and permanence?
What to Expect:
- The Huddle Panel and Discussion: Hear from Black CDFI and civic leaders who will lead a thought-provoking conversation on federal funding uncertainty, state-level solutions, and strategies to protect community investment and advance Black wealth across the Northeast.
- The Alliance Exchange: Connect with fellow ecosystem partners in a networking social designed to build relationships, spark new partnerships, and strengthen the collective work of advancing Black-led community finance.
