About the Black Renaissance Fund
The Black Renaissance Fund is raising capital to provide members of the African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs with capacity building grants and below market (around 3%), patient debt.
The capital allows Black-led CDFIs to strengthen their balance sheets, build loan capacity, and increase revenue through interest income.
The Black Renaissance Fund is the only fund focused specifically on closing the capital capacity gap for Black-led CDFIs

An Innovative Investment Opportunity
Our network of +75 certified CDFIs are led by CEOs with 20+ years (on average) of community development experience and strong track records of wealth creation in Black communities through culturally aligned and proximate services.
In spite of their impact and capability, Black-led CDFIs have smaller and slower growing balance sheets than their white counterparts (Source: Hope Policy Institute).
The Alliance is uniquely positioned to serve as a strategic intermediary for investments in Black-led CDFIs and the communities they serve.
