Community Builders of Color Coalition
As part of our advocacy efforts, the Alliance leads a Community Builders of Color Coalition made up of 19 national BIPOC organizations urging the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to ensure that minority communities can benefit equally from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund as authorized by the Inflation Reduction Act.
Our Mission: The Community Builders of Color Coalition is a national network of financial institutions and advocacy organizations led by people of color working together to ensure low-income and disadvantaged communities can equitably benefit from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
Our Vision: To help eradicate the disproportionate impact of climate change on low-income and disadvantaged communities by sufficiently capitalizing and equipping BIPOC-led organizations that are deeply rooted in and serving disenfranchised populations.
Members of the Coalition:
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund is a first-of-its-kind program that will provide competitive grants to mobilize financing and leverage private capital for clean energy and climate projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions – with an emphasis on projects that benefit low-income and disadvantaged communities.
